Prince William and Kate Middleton are competitive—especially with each other. According to People, the royal couple recently challenged each other to a cocktail-making contest during a surprise visit to Northern Ireland. The goal? To determine, once and for all, whether the Prince or Princess of Wales was the better (and faster!) mixologist.
The Prince and Princess of Wales took their talents to Trademarket, a new outdoor street food and retail market in Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. There, the duo battled each other behind the bar to see who could make a delicious cocktail the fastest. Prince William and Princess Catherine documented their bartending duties as they put two mint-garnished pink drinks together—and while we don’t entirely know who finished first or who made the best-tasting sip (our money is on Kate!), the competitors toasted to their efforts with a clink and a sip post-challenge.
The royal couple has been busy in the weeks after receiving their new titles of the Prince and Princess of Wales. Their first stop was in Anglesey, the northwestern island of Wales, which is where they lived as newlyweds and as new parents to Prince George.
To mark their visit to Wales, the pair visited the RNLI Holyhead Lifeboat Station to connect with the crew and volunteers. The station was actually a few miles away from Prince William and Princess Catherine’s former home.
