While on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday, Ricky Martin had some surprises to share with the audience. First, he announced his Las Vegas residency at the Park Theater at the Monte Carlo hotel. Then, he shared that he and his boyfriend, Jwan Yosef, are engaged! Martin met Yosef about a year ago when he was looking for new art to add to his collection. “He’s a conceptual artist and I’m a collector,” Martin said. “I started looking for art and I saw his art and I went crazy because I really love what he does. Really original. And then I contacted him.” DeGeneres joked, “And then you collected him.” You could call it love at first sight. When Martin saw Yosef, he knew. Then he was like, ‘Yes.’ I said, ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you,’ and he was like, ‘What is the question?’” Martin asked Yosef to marry him, and joked that it took him thirty minutes to realize that Yosef said yes.
