Sophie Turner Compared Getting Engaged To Joe Jonas To Finding A Forever Home

Joe Jonas may have proposed to Sophie Turner back in the fall of 2017, but the Games of Thrones actress is still shocked that she’s getting married. In an interview for the cover of Marie Claire, the star reflected on her relatively new status. “I’m still like, ‘I’m engaged!’” she told the magazine. She also likened the step to another big milestone-buying a home. “It’s lovely to be engaged. Not like I achieved anything, but I found my person, like I’d find a house that I love and want to stay in forever.” RELATED: SOPHIE TURNER’S FUTURE FATHER-IN-LAW ALREADY CONSIDERS HER FAMILY Though Jonas is her “person,” she assured that she’s her own person, too. “There’s this weird misconception that being married is the greatest thing that’ll ever happen to you. But I’ve always found that my career is something I work for, and when I achieve something, there’s a sense that this is the greatest thing I’ll do in my life.” Accordingly, Turner has found balance in her life as a fiancée. “There’s a sense of peace that comes with finding your person. But there’s a drive that comes with your career.” Previously, Turner shared that she’s in no rush to tie the knot. Specifically, she’s waiting a bit before searching for her wedding dress. “I think fashion is ever-changing,” she told People. “You never know what’s going to be fashionable next year, so I think I am just holding off for now.”
