Christmas involves plenty of traditions—like decorating the tree, gift giving, and holiday dinners—but one many families look forward to year after year is baking festive cookies. Whether you make the treats as part of an annual cookie swap or to package and gift to loved ones, the delicious baked goods are a staple of the holiday season.

While you likely bake a spread of cookie varieties, from gingerbread to linzer, there is usually one cookie you look forward to more than the rest. That’s true for your entire state, too: A new map released by Google Trends shows the most uniquely searched cookie in every state compared to the rest of the country, USA Today reports.

Of course gingerbread cookies were a popular option across the map; the dessert was a favorite in eight states, including Montana, Oregon, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. Another unsurprising option included peanut butter cookies, which dominated in seven different states.

Since baking holiday cookies is a family tradition for many, it’s no surprise many people opted to make recipes unique to their heritage. Cultural cookies—think Mexican wedding cookies, Polish cookies, and Italian cookies—were also a country-wide favorite.

Other states strayed away from the pack and chose to bake more niche holiday confections. Arkansas, for example, opted for kitchen sink cookies, while people in Texas searched for springerle cookies and Kansas natives chose hot chocolate cookies.
